Verse:1
All was good up there in heaven
about a billion years ago
angels ruled the universe
while God He sipped on his Merlot
To each one He gave free will
and they all did as they pleased
then one day said Lucifer
Lord I want you on your knees
Pre-Chorus:
You were His prize creation
therefore He lifted you up higher
but arrogance it thrived in your soul
and now you’re nothing but a liar
Chorus:
He made you O’Morning Star
few other angels could resist
once His cherub guardian
now His love you have dismissed
Solo:
Verse: 2
Your fate now is only judgment
the sentence He would cast you down
you may rule Adam and his world
the day that he takes off his crown
Once we reach the end of time
the book of life and works are read
like the names that can’t be found
eternal fire will be your bed
Pre-Chorus:
You were His prize creation
and so He lifted you up higher
but arrogance it thrived in soul
and now you’re nothing but a liar
Chorus:
He made you O’ Morning star
few other angels could resist
once His cherub guardian
now His love you have dismissed
