Do you know the proper way to pray?

These are the “Protocols of Prayer” according to the Scriptures.

Always address “God the Father” in prayer, like “Heavenly Father” or “Father in Heaven”

Follow these steps in order.

1. Confession:

Admit or site your sins to God the Father, without remorse or telling him, you’ll never do them again. They have already been forgiven, just ask.

2. Thanksgiving:

Thank Him for His Son Jesus Christ, His Word, His perfect Plan and everything that is good in your life.

3. Intercession:

Praying on behalf of others for comfort, for needs, for healing etc.

4. Petition:

Ask God for what you need. Things you would like to improve in your personal or spiritual life, like strength, patience, wisdom, understanding and whatever else you need.

Close the prayer with:

“These things I ask in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior”

“In the power of the Holy Spirit, not my will, but Thy will be done, Amen”

The Holy Spirit straightens out our prayers and prays for us.

Rom 8:26 & 27

Once you have completed your prayer this way, you are filled with the “Holy Spirit” and God is free to guide and bless you. This filling of the “Holy Spirit” is commonly referred to as being “In fellowship with God”. You want this to be your status for as long as you can maintain it. Remember our fellowship with God is broken as soon as we sin, so once we have sinned again we need to go back to Him through prayer and confess our new sins and start the process over. The most important thing to remember is that God does not hear our prayers or answer them when we have unconfessed sin in our life. So pray often, and try to stay “in fellowship” as much of the day as you can. God is waiting to bless you!

Please share these protocols of prayer with anyone that you think could use them. Proper prayer is the key to happiness and blessing in the spiritual life and plan of God. 🙏🏻
